The Firefighters Medal of Valor
 
According to the proposal of the Firefighter Service Law, decorations can be awarded to firefighting personnel, as is done in the Police and Prison Service.

Here pictures of this new decoration, awarded to 3 firefighters who died in the Carmel forest fires on December 18, 2010.  The medal is produced by Zechovoy, Tel Aviv, Israel.

The medals were presented to the families of the 3 firefighters on January 24, 2011.
